Freya and Philip had a wonderful, touching, small ceremony with their close friends and relatives. I was very glad to be a part of it, and just like on the engagement shoot a few weeks earlier, it was great fun too! They invited their family and friends to stay at the Painted Boat resort for a few days, and when I arrived, they were in the middle of a game of ultimate frisbee. They were sure lucky with the weather as even the aptly-named Sunshine Coast was hit by heavy rains earlier that day, but the skies cleared in time for them. I also had a chance to take my daughter Isabelle along to shoot some bonus audio and video behind-the-scenes and regular footage.
Venue: Painted Boat Resort, Madeira Beach, Sunshine Coast, BC

Philip’s first look at Freya

I was taking this picture of Freya when Philip decided to become a bigger part of the background…

A little [very careful!] fun around the water; quiet moment rehearsing one’s speech

Philip’s sister wasn’t able to attend in person, but was able to from the UK via Skype

Each table was decorated with a painting of one of their favourite activities
