Janette and Bruce: Stanley Park Engagement and Family Session

Friday, 13 July 2012

Janette and Bruce were my very first maternity shoot over three years ago, and it was exciting to hear from them after that time to and to find out they were engaged and wanted me to shoot their engagement session. Of course, their wonderful three year old daughter, Ava, would be there and this would be a combined family and engagement shoot.

We returned to the same location we had the maternity shoot, Second Beach at Stanley Park. Ava had this to say to her mom after: “Mom, I gave away all my smiles! I'm all out! It'll take 100 years to get more.” That pretty much sums it all for me – it was a fun shoot with lots of chances for experimentation, and full-on action portraits.

Amy and Michael: Vancouver Engagement Session

Sunday, 30 May 2010

It’s always great fun to meet up with a couple willing to have fun on an engagement shoot – a chance to have fun, to get to know each other, to understand the photographer’s approach, and to pass on a few wedding tips and ideas.  On this engagement shoot with Amy and Michael, I picked them up and drove around in style in the Porsche to three different places around the Lower Mainland: The Richmond Olympic Oval, Kitsilano Beach, and Gastown.  I’m definitely looking forward to their wedding in late June!
